Dystopian Love
By: Monique Morgan
Rise of the Infected is set in a society in the far
future. It does not exist as it once was.
The climate has changed, and areas that were once habitable have turned
into a literal hell, too hot for any human to survive. This change is
responsible for the killing 90% of the world’s population.
Only the
northern continents are habitable, with two main human populations. One area is
composed of what was once the United States and Canada. Their enemies are the
Eastern continents, lands located far across the sea.
Human
society has turned to a kill or be killed mentality, overrun with slaver
compounds, which profit on weakness. The main surviving cities are filled with
greed and death, the strong ruling over the weak. It seems like the end is near
already.
And then the
Eastern continents attack and change everything.
I love dystopian
worlds, there seems to be something desperate about their stories, something
that pulls at the strings even more. It was a very fun to combine a dystopian
setting with the rise of the infected, where every day is just about survival.
